Consultation

Consultation shall occur between line management, workers and health and safety representatives as to the method by which earthworks shall be undertaken using earthmoving plant and equipment.

The process of consultation shall assess the hazards generated as a result of undertaking the excavation works using earthmoving plant and equipment, and take into consideration:

  • A review of all plans, drawing, specifications, etc to identify potential hazards associated with the scope of works;
  • Integrity of ground surface intended to support the mass of earthmoving plant and equipment;
