Walmart Canada pricematch policy? - RedFlagDeals.com ForumsAug 24th, 2013 10:59 am
Aug 24th, 2013 10:59 amDoes anyone have a link for the stated Walmart Canada price match policy.
Specificaly I am looking to find out if they do a price match with Costco. The US corporate policy apears to indicate that they will price match in the states but haven't been able to find a stated policy for Canada.Aug 24th, 2013 3:27 pm
Aug 24th, 2013 3:27 pmNot sure why you posted in Home & Garden and not Shopping. Generally speaking, Walmart has an Ad Match policy so you have to bring in an ad to get the price match. If you have a Costco ad and Walmart sells the same thing, go to Walmart and ask. But why not just buy the item at Costco? Besides standing behind the product including if the price drops, Costco is a socially responsible employer that pays its employees fairly and doesn't run roughshod over workers rights (a stark contrast to Walmart). Walmart is a parasite, Costco is not. Aug 24th, 2013 5:59 pm

Aug 24th, 2013 11:10 pmI have worked for Walmart and we were told no to Costco because Costco has a membership so prices are lower. People who don't have a membership can't buy at Costco and anyone can buy at Walmart no membership required. Aug 25th, 2013 1:31 am
Aug 25th, 2013 1:31 amIf it's at costco.ca then they could price match it since you do not need a membership. Here's my experience with price matching...
I actually wanted to price match blacks photo on their website for the BB playbook and I brought a print out of the webpage. One of the store managers came and denied matching the price as it's not an official flyer and claimed I may have altered it (price was significantly cheaper compared to walmart). I asked her to check the website on their computer and she told me they couldn't because they don't have access to the internet. I left and the next day sent an email to their corporate customer service. A few days later another manager from that same store called me, asked for a recount of my experience, and apologized for the inconvenience and told me that they should have price matched it on the spot. They also asked how many I wanted to buy at the discounted price and told me to pick up the item from customer service as it would be on hold with my name on it.Aug 26th, 2013 3:24 am
